A pedagogical, musical and cinematographic experience, a performance about the graphic and visual representation of sound.

During this audiovisual game and creative workshop addressed to girls and boys, we will give visible form to the sounds and rhythms that we will create together, while we approach various strategies in the tradition of experimental animated cinema.

The proposals for drawing and performative musical action will be the axis in this set of games, and at the same time, they will provide some guidelines to focusing on the creation of a hybrid performance, where one part is cinematographic, another is drawing, and another, musical. These fields will later merge to become one single show.

We will learn to appreciate and give proper forms to sound, both individually and in groups. We will learn how to explore abstraction and music from a playful and joyful perspective. And above all, we will laugh a lot and have a good time creating stuff.

This is the resulting performance from previous the workhops titled ‘I like what I see because it sounds’, by the creative Catalan trio Dibuixar Música, where children explored the languages of drawing, film, and music to discover connections and expressions between them.

This LIVE performance can be understood as a collective musical work, a visual piece that is half-prepared, half-improvised, and a gift to ourselves and the audience. A celebration of music, drawing, and film, and the common language of abstraction.

This session will be also streamed LIVE on PyRTV for our remote audiences!
